Anyone coming to Cadwell on 1st August is more than welcome to come out for a spin in the passenger seat with me, as long as it doesnt spark off the additional "war" of Westie compared to Locost :D  :t-up:

Where MB893 and I still differ is that he STILL thinks BEC's are better

Steppenwolf, I thought we agreed that the next comming thing was a gas turbine engined Westy (a TEC?) as they rev to the correct level (i.e. more than 40,000rpm - which is as it should be), produce the correct amount of power (700shp+)?

It would also lend a whole new meaning to the phrase "burn up" :D

Or that Tomahawk thingy - designed I feel to placate you CEC chaps perhaps :D  :D  :D

I've got piccies of the real thing and it's even more bonkers in the flesh!

ahhh yes but his car is lighter

Surely not!!!

All I've got to do now is come to terms with the fact that his BEC engined car does actually out-accelerate my Zetec engined car ......

Ahhh, but rumour has it that a CVH powered car did too... :D  :p

Ooooooooh, cruel - very very cruel.

Chaps, for this 'discussion' to work you really should curtail this 'own goal' type behaviour

You should be thinking CEC = Good (no matter what type of engine) and BEC = Bad, very very bad - remember?

All this ganging up on yourselves is very confusing - rather like a group of football 'supporters' going in mob 'anded, and the oposition beats it self up before the pleasantries can begin.

What are you thinking?! :D  :D  :D

spark off the additional "war" of Westie compared to Locost

It's a BEC, what else is there to discuss

Thats very easy for you to say, you don't have a Zetec or VX.

I think you missed the point though, which is that there is only one choice to make - Zetec or VX - the rest are simply pants!

Picking my R1 engine up next week.

£950 including gearbox, starter, alternator, carbs, electrics etc etc and will furnish my car with about 400bhp/tonne.

That's why bike power is bestest - bangs per buck. To get that sort of pwr out of a probe or calibra engine would cost fortunes.  :)

Now look here mate, it only happened once and errrrr, ummm, errrr, 'cos he's my little boy, I let him win ....

Note for later - edit Westfield diary to remove all negative things especially those mentioning CVH engines and sons ...
