DerekJ Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 All you need to run is Ad-Aware and SpyBot. The other suggestions will help only in preventing in the future.... I agree with Mike about Ad Aware and SpyBot. Both free to download at download.com. I like free stuff that works AVG is an anti-virus program so will ignore most pop-ups etc. unless they contain a virus. AVG is one of the best free anti-virus programs you can get DO NOT UNINSTALL IT Scrubbing your hard disk is a great idea if you know what you are doing but can take ages to re-install all of your programs etc. Do you know where all of your e-mail passwords are?? Most people "put them somewhere safe" about a year ago when they set up the account Hope this helps DerekJ Quote
davew Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I used to use AVG but started to dislike it. I'm now using avast antivirus which seems quite good and also free. Quote
