Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 my old gal that I have owned for 7-8 years has finally goiven up the ghost - cracked pump housing just ordered one of these due to the sale price and also the length of hose supplied at 7m (most at this price level are a rather pathetic 5m) http://www.halfords.com/webapp....z1#dtab hope that may be of interest to some of you
RedditchJay Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 looks good for the money, i just got a Karcher from Tesco direct, excellent bit of kit with patio cleaner and on board detergent {not really required}
Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 You cant beat Karcher........... I bet someone say you can........ popcorn at the ready
RedditchJay Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I purchased the Karcher K5.600 & T200 patio pressure washer Looked at all the normal retail outlets and Tesco were a few £££ cheaper....
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Owned one of the bigger halfords jet washers - the one with the wind on drum for the hose since last February, it's been replaced completely under warranty once, and spent a total of seven weeks away at Halfords service agents since I had it. After previous experience with frost on other washers, I stopped using it well before the cold weather, disconnecting all the hose couplings, left it to drain etc. The one thing I couldn't do is physically bring it inside the house over winter. Came to use it this spring (waited till we were past frosty nights), doesn't work. Halfords say sorry, it's frost damage, the main pu p manifold's cracked - a cast metal part, not covered under warranty. I should have known why there was so much money off the heap of crap last year.
RedditchJay Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 All depends on your usage.... mine is for the defender so used lots to blast off the ud underneath

RedditchJay Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 good man...... on saying that I bought one of Halfords cheapest jst washes for work {£40} and in 12 months of hard use its been fine.....
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I'll look out for your report back Having given up on that one, I just want a cheap one this time; I should add that crap product aside, Halfords actual service has been spot on. I even started feeling sorry for the poor manager Well, almost.
