dombanks Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 This thing is bad at speed too, if I go near 60mph I get very nervous and it wanders badly, not snaking, just moving around a lot. Overtaking trucks is scary as it seems to want to pull in closer to the truck!! I got a different tow-bar on the Disco to drop the tow-bar and level the load, but still seems to be bad. I looked at angling the front of this, but think the only easy option to the top third where there is already a join, but reckon it mightnt make much difference. i used to get that towing the nags in the ifor trailer. it was especially bad when coaches overtook, sometimes if it was a little windy you could physically feel the lot sucking back towards the coach as it got to you. at first i thought there was something wrong but other owners said it happens. Dave Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 This home made thing https://picasaweb.google.com/raintite/Trailer#5602759056402349042 was 100% better to tow / use than this thing https://picasaweb.google.com/raintite/Trailer#5602759088121414450 The race shuttle was b****r to get the nose weight correct, loads of storage space but the wheels are way tooo far back to use the space Imho. Nose weight is everything get that balance correct and a 4 wheeler should tow well above the speed limit (alledgedley) The mpg for each trailer was about the same Dave Quote
