CrashBangWallop Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Good afternoon people, I was about remove the wheels on my Westie to get to the brakes but, the centre hub with the Westfield logo has a weird star-shaped key, similar to an inverted allen key. I can't get the wheels off without first removing the hub. Is this a standard Allen-key type bought from any bog-standard hardware store? I didn't know who to ask first; the forum or Westfield. I could pop out today if I knew what I was looking for. Thanks for any quick reply (or, indeed, a long one if you feel it necessary) Thanks, Neil. Quote
adhawkins Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Mine is definately an allen key. I bought a set from Halfrauds for about 7 quid I think. Not sure what you mean by 'inverted' though? Andy Quote
Blatman Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Sounds like a Torx fitting to me. Halfrauds will have Torx drivers......... Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted June 26, 2003 Author Posted June 26, 2003 It's a six-pointed star rather than a six sided hexagon. Not that you can get an eight-sided hexagon, obviously I'll try Halfrauds after work. Cheers, guys. Quote
Blatman Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 It's a six-pointed star Yup. It's a Torx...... Quote
