Paul Aspden Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Just spoken to the BRSCC who are organising the Snetterton Sprint meeting, and they have confirmed that WSCC Speed Series competitors are ONLY eligable for the sunday 29th May meeting. So Del & Terry, unless your both registered for the SBD British sprint championship or Caterham Academy, it looks like you'll get some money back! Another round off our championship campaign! Quote
Terry Everall Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I cant believe that! I spoke to the man who said Sun & Mon ok Some other clubs were doing 1 day only. I cant be arsed to go all that way for 1 day on a Bank Hol at big cost in fuel etc so it could be a withdrawal? Clearly Speed series Committee think it was 2 days Quote
MartinH Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I've been chasing the BRSCC to get them to e-mail the Regs and entry form. After some nagging I've received 2 sets of Regs one for Monday 29th which is for the British Sprint Championship and other invited clubs, including the WSCC and one for Monday 30th which is for the British Sprint Championship and Caterham Academy Championship, nothing else. This is backed up by the 3 entry forms I received, one National B for Sunday, one National A for Sunday and Monday and one for Monday described as a Clubman Entry Form. The latter is part filled in i.e. make: Caterham, model: Roadsport, championship: ACAC. So if you have a only have National B licence or you have a National A but are not entered in the British Sprint Championship you are restricted to Sunday only. WSCC is not the only club who had this down as a 2 day event in their Championship so did B19 who are listed as co-organisers on the Sunday. I’ll try and speak to the B19 Comp Sec tonight and get his take on it. I’ve got a vested interest as this is the nearest one to home. I've spoken to the B19 Comp Sec and it's as per the regs, Sunday 29th only. So both clubs have lost a round of their championship. Quote
Terry Everall Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I have asked Luke Algar to speak to Nick about it when he returns from hols tomorrow. Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Oh well, it looks like I'll be getting some of my money back too then As Martin I'm a member of B19 and they too are listing the sprint for both days in their calendar and in the news letter I got from them last week so I'd be interested to hear what they say. Quote
Terry Everall Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Clearly 2 clubs thought it was a 2 day event and have advertised it as such Quote
Mark Stanton Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Thats a shame new layouts look very good Quote

See the edit to my previous post. It seems there is some relutance to run too bigger field at this initial event. Quote
pete g Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 well looks like i dont need to get the bank holiday off now. Quote
davidgh Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 B19 has now put out a notice to all competitors to the effect that, if we don't have heritage, we cannot enter on Monday. Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Just back off my sunny hols This was NOT what was agreed or understood by the Speed Series Committee, it was expected to be a 2 days event. I cannot get hold of the organisers tonight, so will try and do so tomorrow. Once I have done so I will issue an e-mail to all competitors updating the situation. Regards Nick Quote
RWDKurt Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Pinning my hopes on this being a double header too - good luck Nick Quote
