tis pants, it's blue

As a supporter of a Premiership team who play in red (not Man U), I agree, but if driven fast enough, colour just becomes a blur anyway!  ;)

Thank you.

I have to be honest and say I took a bit of a 'flyer,' as I'm a Westfield 'virgin!' However the high-spec and the thought and attention to detail that had so clearly gone in to the build, to create an excellent road and track car, sold it to me immediately. And of course I did tell myself that cars of such an ilk probably didn't come up too often so I should grab the opportunity with both hands! I'm not usually lucky in that respect and always seem to be late for the party. Not this time! :)

She really did 'tick every box,' based on the research I had already done, both through this site and indeed by looking at the spec of lots of other cars over a period of time.

The owner's detailed documentation of the build and the time he spent with me going over the car, before taking me for a 'spirited' test drive, also gave me the confidence to seal the deal on the spot Maybe I've paid over the odds, I don't know, but whatever, I think I've got a great car and I look forward to enjoying her 'straight out of the box,' so to speak and becoming a part of, what seems to be, a very friendly, valuable and infomative club!

Just can't wait to pick her up now!

I know the seller of that car and although I don't know enough about Westfields to know whether the price is right  I can vouch for the fact that his attention to detail was remarkable and he spent a huge amount of time on it so it'll be well built.

I've bought a few spares etc from him and I reckon the prices i've paid were fair if not good and i'd have no reason to think he'd fleece the buyer of his car.  I reckon that's one hell of a car you now own!

As much as I still know little about them, it does look really well, and the spec speaks for itself.

I still have to get to know a bit more, but have had very little time of late. My expeience so far is driving a cross-flow, and being a passinger in a Pinto, along with a ride in a 500bhp Busa Dax. The first two didn't cut it, but the Dax really did, power was amazing, but I don't feel bike engine is what I'm looking for as an all rounder.

The whole Subaru/Evo scene does nothing for me, I like BMW and Honda for sporty, but that's only an opinion, we can't all be the same.

What I need to learn is the relation of power to weight specifically to a Westfield. Reason for this, is some things feel a lot quicker than they actually are, and some a lot slower. Extremes of this are Elises feeling slow as they brilliant roadholding, and suspension, Focus RS, feeling quick as it's got masses of torque steer and very limited handling. I really need to know where the Westfield fits in !!

So when you say that the crossflow and pinto didn't cut it; why is that? I thought that that a crossflow/pinto in such a light car is still a whole lot of fun even without the headline grabbing bhp of the dax?

I didn't mean it to sound quite so damning as it did when I just read my post back.

Totally agree, the Cross flow was a lot of fun, in fact it confirmed that I want a Westfield. Very enjoyable, and a very respectable performance.

I have to admit the the one I drove was very tired, but would have still held its own up against a mass of modern sports cars.

I no longer want to ride bikes, but miss the rush of the acceleration, that is the sole reason. I want something as near to bike acceleration as I can get.
