Second that. We've had freesat since the Humax PVR became available.

We used to pay £43 a month for the sky package and NEVER watched football as I was alway doing something else when it was on.

That's over £500 per annum I can now spend on the car.  :)

However I suspect Paul has a dish problem. Maybe he tried to hang some members from the bracket and bent it.  :)

Sorry to pinch the thread Paul,

I paid £220 for the Humax with the recording feature,

I am at present bidding for a Sony PlayStation 3 super mega jobby,  Hope to get that for £200 ish.

Just connect my Broadband to the back of the Humax box and i player is available, with more coming on line shortly,

The Sony box is for Blue ray for the 3 D tele, plus live streaming from "Love films" and the odd game if I get the time!

And Norman, Paul doesn't hang the naughty boys, He shoots them,

Sky problem down to bullet holes in dish!

Ah, so he's only getting pictures with holes in them> I understand.

I had to pay full price for my Humax as it had just been launched and they were not available. I was in the UK that December and had 2 days with nothing to do (waiting for my return flight). I spent all of it on the phone and net trying to find one. Ended up ordering it fropm John Lewis.

Now, before I get accused of anything. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT THE CHAIRMAN NEEDING SOME ASSISTANCE

To add some detail;

The automatic dish on the roof of my motorhome (Oyster SamY 65) spins around and finds the satellite every time - no problem.  Turn on the tele and the Sky digibox (12v thingy - not like a home based one) and I get the "No Signal being received" message.

I need a man (but that is another thread completely) with a testing gizmo to confirm the Sky box has gone phut. :)

can you not test the dish with a 240 v box if you run an extension lead to the house to power it up?

There must be someone on here that has a 240 v box you can test it with?

Going back to basics can you tell us the last time it worked OK and what has occurred since? Has it just been laid up for the winter and now doesnt work?

Does it maybe just need retuning as per all the ads I've seen recently about the digital switch over occuring in your area?

Digital switchover won't affect satellite signal nor how the TV receives the signal.

As suggested by Carpetstu, if you have a Sky box in the house, take it out to the motorhome and run an extension lead...
