Dave Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I had a 7 tonne aluminium coil stolen CCtv shows transit drive through gates scumbag looks up at camera and smiles Said scumbag chains tranny to coil and attempts to drive off it does not move Calls his mate 2nd transit chained to first big pull but it still does not move Calls another mate 3rd tranny chained to 2nd & pull coil dragged 1.5 miles down main road and into "travellers" overnight halt In the morning I call the cops they look at cctv footage and I show them the masive gouge in the road and follow the trail all the way to the Camp End result they will not enter the site without armed support and riot vans that will take several days to arrange and by then the coil will be gone. Even if they find the coil the perpetrators will be given bail and Jasey Casey and his mates will not appear for court. 21k insurance claim Quote
lippydave Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Throw some new cages up and coat them in something very toxic and life threatening..... Erect a small sign to let normal people know they are dangerous and then watch as the pikeys take 'em again anyway.... CCTV....Laughable that anyone in the UK even considers this to be any sort of deterrent whatsoever..... A live 240V running through the cages or coating them with raw Japanese nuclear spillage would be far more appropriate.....Or maybe landmining the area immediately around the aircon units..... Leave a few dead pikeys lying in front of the units as a deterrent, and just like rats they'll get the idea that it's wrong eventually..... Quote
][\/][ajor Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 A live 240V running through the cages Shouldn't be too much of a problem as we're electrical contractors. Actually let's make that 415V Quote
Spire Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Friend of ours had 14 tonne of stone driveway nicked at the weekend. Quote
Ian Podmore Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 We had CCTV at our last place in Birmingham. The only thing that was stolen afterwards was one of the CCTV cameras Quote
stewart pickles Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Get some cameras up,at least you'l be able to have a laugh at the dangler when he cuts into the pipe work and burns his face with refrigerant Quote
jeff oakley Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 What is annoying is that in Daves case, we now have police who have effectivly created no go areas where they fear to go. I can understand the reasons but if we are to have a law it must be for all not just those who allow themsleves to be policed. A few years ago in the Bristol area a huge group of crusty travellers were turfed off the area they were on. There wasn't a single road tax in sight the vehicles were clearly illegal and yet they were waved on their merry way to create mayhem elswhere without a single ticket. It seems there are many now beyond the law. Quote
