Ross Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 As per my previous post i am renewing the van and am going to give the van a goog clean over the weekend and put a for sale advert on ebay. The roof of the van has alot of mould/ black residue what cleaning products would you recommend using to remove this? TIA Ross Quote
cast iron Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Normal car shampoo and elbow grease works on the camper, followed by autoglym for the stubborn stuff Quote
slater Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 when I aquired my van the roof looked like a lawn, I found that a fungisidal wash that we use to clean down roofs works a treat, avaliable at BQ but they may lable it as Patio cleaner. lewis Quote
housebeautician Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Jif cream cleaner or cif as it is now known. Works well and washes off. Quote
carpetstu Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Ciff then good polish ^^ like what he said Quote
lippydave Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Muc-Off or TFR..... Buy Muc-off in 1 gallon containers from caravan shops. Wet roof, spray on, agitate with brush....Hose off...job done... I also use Auto Glym Motorcycle cleaner for the same sort of stuff, but that's an expensive way to do it... Quote
][\/][ajor Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Nick the wife's Cillit Bang! I cleaned some serioulsy grubby seats once from a VW caddy with it and I was gob smacked how good it worked. If it's the roof and you rinse it off sharpish, I'm sure it will do the job well - but rinse it off quickly! Quote
Ross Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 Sorry for my ignorance but what is TFR? Quote
