Wharfedale Power Cube 12

Hi

I have a Wharfedale Power Cube 12 sub and a fault has developed.

When in “sleep” mode, the speaker doesn’t turn itself off in the absence of a low frequency so basically it is on all the time.

Any thoughts of what the fault is?

Please be aware that if someone posts to say my life is in danger with the sub and must buy Nautilus speakers,  feel free.

Yep.  Doesn't make any difference though.

I guess there is an electrical relay somewhere.

You could try speaking to the UK distributors...

   * IAG Service Department, Unit 4, St. Margaret's Way

   * Stukeley Meadows Industrial Estate, Huntingdon, Cambs, PE29 6EB

   * Tel. No.: 01480 452561

   * e-mail : rob@iaguk.co.uk

If they insist on only dealing with a trade contact, drop me a PM with the product details and I'll have a word.

That is very kind of you.

I will give them a call later.

I've got some rather nice "Mordaunt Short" speakers in my Conservatory taking up space! ( £1000 brand new!)

If you ask me nicely you might get them for nothing!

Connected to my Sony AAA Hi-Fi set up. There is a dry joint on one of the rear push in connectors of the power Amp,

If you asked me even nicer you might get that as well!

I'm going down the "Small is Nice" route now.

Bob only. No stampedes wanted down my road!
