Blatman Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Depends how good your knees and back are. My knees are OK but my back is very second hand so running on a treadmill (or anywhere else) is out so I use* an orbital trainer. It has minimal impact on the knees and almost none or my poor "surgically enhanced" verterbrae... * I'm currently using it to dry a towel and keep an extension lead off the floor on one of the footpads... Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 wonder how before the other half sticks a vase on it Quote
Blatman Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Vase is handy. Gives you something to puke in, post workout, if you pushed a bit too hard... Quote
Captain Colonial Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 By the way, reference the topic title, if you "treadmill my belly", you're doing it wrong - you're supposed to use your feet. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Shouldnt this be in the parts wanted section? (or maybe parts unwanted section ) Quote
langy Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 As Chaz mentioned, get yourself a decent pair of running shoes (Advance Performance in Peterborough) and go for a run in the great outdoors, take in the views, smell the fresh air and save your self a wedge of cash. Give yourself a goal and enter a local race. We could have an area outing and watch you run / walk / crawl past Quote

stantman Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Get a decent rowing machine, far better all round excercise and the fancy timber water rower you can get in John Lewis looks smart as a piece of furniture and you wont need a vase as you can put the flowers in the water resevoiur. (The Concept 2 is still the best machine to use as olympic rowers around the world can't all be wrong). Quote
