Well I'm pleased to say I finally took the plunge today and bought an SE narrow body  :D  Should be picking it up on and can't wait to have some fun in it.

It's only a 1600 xflow but plenty good enough for me for now.

So just saying hello to you all especially those from God's own county (that's yorkshire incase anyone was wondering).

I'm from Yorkshire (Keighley) and did the same (bought a  x/Flow SE 4 weeks ago) Currently in the garage being prepared for the summer.

SE narrow body

Ah, same as mine, thats the best model so long as its red, (sits back and awaits abuse).

I also started with a X-Flow, an excellent, over engineered engine.

Welcome

I'm totally guilty of loving multi-valve engine, injection systems and the whole way modern engine are.

Sometimes I forget just how good and strong the X-flow engine actually is.

I had one in my Mk1 Capri when I was 18yr, fitted a twin choke carb, lowered it a bit (didn't really need to do the back, it was already collapsing) and absolutley hammered the living daylights out of it every time i went out.....

It lasted over a year, and in the end it was the shell that broke on a hump back bridge, the engine went on to live in a Mk1 Escort.

I've driven a X-flow Westfield, and there's more than enough there for some fun, and some pretty serious driving.

Over the summer months, there is sometimes a meet at The Bay Horse, Skipton, so keep an eye out for that too.   :t-up:  Our next door neighbours, the Lancashire gang sometimes come to that so ends up being a great meet!!  :t-up:
