The carpet trade is full of idiots ripping other idiots off  :bangshead:

Don't get me started its something I put up with daily  :bangshead:

My fitter just called me.. he got on the toll road with no money and no credit card. He has to pay in 2 days or he gets fined.... the tw@t has given them my company details

Sad really. If this had happened in France the police would have shook the bosses hand and thumped the thief!

200 years ago he would have been en-route to Australia by now!

Guilty until proven innocent huh?

From the story it seems the guy with the sign on was overpowered by his boss and three accomplices. Whether guilty or not, he has a right of reply and his side needs to be heard. If he is *found* guilty once both sides have had their say then he should be punished. But for all we know, he may be innocent.

Who's the idiot? Dunno. We don't have enough information to make a decision...

Sorry Blatters, but I have enough info to say that he should not have had a sign around his neck declaring him a thief.

He was not a thief at that point as he had not been so convicted.

As to the rest of the details I agree - not enough info.

ed to add. I've just looked at the vote and see that 41% think they were both stupid. On what basis is the employee stupid?

It could be argued that, if allegations are factual, he was stupid for either stealing the cheque, or more likely, allowing himself to wear that sign and walking to the police station.  Just guessing here.  No way would I let anyone do that to me, even if I had stolen the cheque (which I wouldn't).

both stupid.  says he was owed wages...  owner places thief sign over him...

but why was he back at work just after - as the owner says on camera.

if he was guilty enough to wear a sign, but still let back to work?

we don't know enough - but I'd bet he had some dodgy info on the boss - so the boss backed down to keep him quiet. :-D

Yeah but I didn't want Grunt to think I was picking on him again

My original post was a little more forthright before I self moderated it... :0
