Blatman Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 V6 Jag is the same engine as the ST220 Mondeo isn't it? Mazda based, just like the Duratec? Nice engine. Makes a great noise and probably better in a Westfield than an iron V6 from Dagenham, Cologne or Northampton... but still not cheap, and the bang for buck equation will still look decidedly iffy... IMHO of course... Quote
combatsapph Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Wow that's nice - any more pics? My Scorpio is now looking at me rather worriedly (BOB variant). They do make the most lush noise :-) Oh, and BOB's are shorter. Quote
Torqueman Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 The guys build thread: http://rejsa.nu/forum....start=0 In Swedish But there are some pictures Quote
DixieTheKid Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 Wow that's awesome and sounds amazing! That is a tight old fit though. I'm now on the hunt for an early Scorpio and hens teeth 2wd v6 mt75. However I have read that you can mate a 4x4 mt75 to a 2.0l mt75 tail to make up the box. The fabricating oh engine mounts and manifolds really doesn't bother me because a friend of mine will knock them up for me dirt cheap. Thanks for the pics and info I've not come across that one. MK11 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Does anyone know where the BOA and BOB terminology came from? The one fitted to the Westfield I would call an FBA and the one in the Scorpio is an FBC. Quote
Blatman Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Interesting alternator mount, and I bet the column route is interesting too! Might be an easier job on a right hooker but it looks a b****y tight fit, worse than a Rover V8 looking at those pics... Quote

Arhhh all makes sense now! I was wondering what the FBA & FBC was, i thought it was the American's engine code or something lol! Here Combatsapph, i think you should say good by to the Scorpio and give her a burst of new live i a Westie! On another note does the Westie MDV Kit use the sierra indicator/wiper storks etc? I want to go with the Aero screen and was thinking it might look at bit odd because i wouldnt use the right stork, well at least i dont think i would...... would i? That alternator is interesting! That pully has been fitted to the other end of the cam, thats not ment to be there surely? Quote

DixieTheKid Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 Im not sure that picture is not a BOA, is a v6 Duratec! Quote
DixieTheKid Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 This is a BOA in a lowcost! Quote
