RedditchJay Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Grrrrrrrr Just had my Golf drivin inside our warehouse to be worked on.... problem is the warehouse door has those heavy duty plastic strips..... end result is the car is covered in fairly deep scratches..... Tried T cut wont even touch it so it will need a mop and paste..... Do I buy a mop and paste ? borrow one or just pay someone circa £75 {local quote} to get it done.... I have used mops in the past {ex valeter when I was a teen} so have no issue using one and not burning through the paint.... etc etc anyone tried any of the cheap n cheerful mops on the market ?? or got a reasonable one to loan ?? HELP...... Quote
mvlsruss Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Sorry to be the barer of bad news, if you can feel the scratches with your finger nail, its unlikely they will polish out..... Russ Quote
RedditchJay Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 not quite as deep as finger nail but some are...... just got some slightly abrasive paste from Halfords so will have a go..... T cut wouldnt touch it... Quote
Captain Colonial Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Maybe your gypo neighbours scratched it??? As far as your insurance company is concerned, that is...! Quote
RedditchJay Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 hahaha.... just spent the last hour or so with the Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 and I must say its doing OK........ still got roof issues to get mopped BUT sides, boot etc etc pretty good from what it was looking like Quote
leighc Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Megs G220 and Menzerna Intensive is what you need on that. If I was closer I'd come across and do it Quote
RedditchJay Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 just bought some of this G3 rubbing compound to try next UPOL 333 LIQUID CUTTING COMPOUND 250G (G3) see if this will lift the deepest roof scratches...... still by hand though.... Quote
