As I look after the Cotswold Web Site and Techi bits, ANDREW REEVES (AO for Cotswold)  has asked me to advertise this on his behalf.

MORGAN CAR COMPANY --- A FACTORY VISIT

DATE FRIDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2011

TIME 11.30a.m.

WHERE The Morgan Factory Visitor Centre, Spring Lane off Pickersleigh Road, Malvern Link.  WR14 2LL   Our contact is Sally Baylis on Tel: 01684 573104

WEB www.morgan-motor.co.uk

COST £10 per head

Local Cotswold Club Members have expressed a strong interest in seeing how cars are still hand-built in this country -- Morgan Cars are still going strong and are based in our area too! I went there some years ago and it was an unguided wander along a painted line – now it’s much more organised and we get for our money:

• A Fully Guided 2 Hour Tour

• Museum visit

• Film Show

• Exposure to the inevitable shop

We will see both the traditional cars and the new Aero 8 models being built – the Aero 8 has some impressive modern engineering in it

I have booked just 8 places and these will be available on a first-come-first-served basis although they seem quite relaxed about numbers and this could be increased.

Afterwards we will retire to the Nags Head, one of Malvern’s best pubs that is nearby and serves excellent beer and food

Please email or phone me ASAP to book your place

It should be a fun visit!!!

Hi,

I've sent an email asking for a place.  I hope no one will mind a non-Cotswold member coming along?  I really fancy seeing the factory.

An excellent factory tour.

Thanks Andrew for arranging.

I'll post a few pictures over the weekend.

Just need to decide upon the colour now ;-)

Smashing day out we both enjoyed it, & the pub grub was good to.

Kind Regards Chris & Linda Gamble. (Thames Valley Region).

P.S. see you on the 5th March.

Thanks to Andrew for organising the tour and food.

The tour was very interesting and it was very good pie for lunch.
