La defense...go to La defense (during the day, then round montmartre in the evening)

I work in La Defense, why the feck would you want to go there?  The view from the Grand Arch to the Arc d'Triomphe is nice, but not really worth going for unless you have a lot of time to kill or are going in that direction anyway.

During the day this time of year (in no particular order), river cruise, museums, wander around the Notre-Dam area.

Evening:  Nice resteraunt, jazz/music club and/or show!

Car related: not sure when you're going - but i'm thinking of getting tickets for this.

Well guys, thanks for all your suggestions, heading off from Norfolk early tomorrow morning, we are staying in Mont Martre, so looks lke we have that part of the suggested itinerary taken care of...The Champs Elysee car showrooms sound a good fem friendly plan also and seeing as the better half is picking up her new Citreon next week, maybe a good look at the Citreon showroom will be of topical interest to her also!

Once again, thanks for all your suggestions and I am sure we will be having a great time this weekend!  :p  :D  :t-up:

Ah, the periphique. Try driving around it twice.

My first visit to Paris was in 1964 and I could see them building the Periphique from my cousins window at Porte De Versailles
