Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Will he still be doing the grid walk though ? Quote
peterg Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I read somewhere that yes he still intends to do the grid walkabout then run back to the commentary box Quote
KerryS Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 If they get rid of Eddie Jordan as well, it would be better still Quote
echoz Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Merry Christmas from the BBC Thanks Feck for that aye Should be really good with Brundle and Coulthard Quote

thos Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Coulthard was rubbish in that McLaren Mission Control thing though, so I dont think he's going to be that good in the commentary box! I might be listening to the Radio 5 coverage this year ... Quote
Richgm Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I'm sorry but the two of them in the box together isn't going to work. You need someone to inject some excitement into the commentary. I Think I'll be joining Thos Listening to 5Live Crofty seems quite good. Quote
peterg Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I think I'll be reserving my judgement until I've actually heard what they're like together Martin Brundle hasn't been able to get a word in edgeways for the last two years so let's give him a chance eh? Quote
Blatman Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I prefer calm knowledge rather than inaccurate, blind excitement (Murray Walker notwithstanding) so I'm looking forward to it. I'm also especially looking forward to Brundle (Coulthards manager IIRC) trying to get Coulthard to say something even mildly controversial about Red Bull or Mercedes (Coulthards sponsors) during commentary. Coulthards bias for both companies was both obvious and irritating. I'm hoping brundle will bait Coulthard in to saying what he actually thinks... Quote
Captain Colonial Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 And all F1 races on the BBC will be in HD too! Quote
