peterg Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 but be careful with the Surrey club figures as they haven't been changed in 2 years to my knowledge..... Quote
Learner_Phil Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 I found it to be useful for the phone numbers etc. Got mine sort for £1200(! Quote
Turbowestie.co.uk Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Can you use your NCB on more than one car policy? I was told i couldn't use my 7 years NCB for my second car due to the fact it was already used on the daily driver. Quote
Learner_Phil Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Some of the companies i spoke to did take it into consideration and offer some sort of discount. Quote
JasonR Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 I sorted out my insurance with Roadsure last week, for a reasonable £154 with mileage limited to 4,000/year. That is on a 4A-GE powered car. I am 29 and my wife is 27 both covered on the policy. Compared to what I used to pay for my MR2 Turbo it seemed a bargin. Most of the companies I spoke to said they would match the NCD I was getting on my other car. Cheers Jason Quote
adhawkins Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 I'm with HHH (01733) 310899. Competitive and good service. Also heard good things about Dave Sprag at MSM (01279) 870535. Adrian Flux and Footman James are also mentioned regularly. Best bet is to do a search, this has all been gone over before. Andy Quote
Blatman Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Best bet is to do a search, this has all been gone over before. Insurance..... Some buying tips... some more... even more... etc etc....... Quote
Turbowestie.co.uk Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 ahhh... i only ask because I am just renewing mine just this minute with footman james, they wont count NCB on any policy, even the one for the Westie which i am renewing with a claim free year last year......doh! Quote

I have the green Westfield with MSM, and my road legal sprint Westfield with HHH..... Quote

P W Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 Does anyone have some good recomendations for insurance on a Westfield ? Any ideas what sort of quotes I should be looking for ? Age 26 3 years NCB. Cheers. I've just gone with Sureterm Direct (tel 0700 2020230) - seem very friendly / efficient and competitive so far - £297 for a 1800 zetec 02 plate, fully comp inc breakdown, legal and track days 32 yrs old, diabetic ts30 speeding offence 5k miles pa, company car driver so don't really take much notice of no claims because I haven't had insurance in my name for 5 yrs. Most seemed to offer some or all of the following - legal cover, personal injury, breakdown cover, homestart breakdown, track day cover. As always with insurance its worth ringing round and playing them off against each other to get the best price Quote
