Kiwi XTR2 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 at 2:21 sounded like a mechanical failure which might have been a factor - a bang and then no engine sound The video and audio are out of synch. That bang is him hitting the wall. Quote
blankczechbook Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 so what is in sync - the telemetry? hard to tell.. was weird to watch with the sound all out of shape... and then the car too.. Quote
JeffC Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 corner speed on a Radical is unreal, watch the video below from 40 seconds, Im in my 1550cc busa chasing a 1550cc Radical, straightline speed and slower corners there isnt a lot in it but watch what happens when we come into some high speed corners its just glued ps he was lapping 11seconds a lap quicker than me Quote
Kiwi XTR2 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Nice video. Any info on how the rubber compared between the two? BTW - I'm a fan of Evanescence but would rather hear a 'busa screaming than Amy Lee Quote

Radical's are just fantastic when it comes to cornering, but have to agree that they are just to fast compared to the rest of the cars out on track. They just appear out of no where in the corners such is the diffrence in a car equipped with down force and one that isn't. Quote

They just appear out of no where in the corners such is the diffrence in a car equipped with down force and one that isn't. I get told that a bit in my XTR2 but to be perfectly honest most of the time when the discussion back in the pits is "you appeared out of nowhere", I've actually been following the slower driver for half a lap through 7 or 8 corners and eventually a blue flag comes out. A lot of it comes down to the rules of the day. If the rules are: - only on the left - only on indication from the driver in front - only under acceleration (not in a braking zone or entry to a corner) or some other suitable set of rules, then there is no great risk other drivers of having Radicals or XTR2's out there at the same time. If anything the drivers of faster corner cars will get frustrated and seek out other more suitable trackdays. Personally I'd rather go to trackdays with guys I know and trust, ragardless of the speed of their cars . . . and anyway by the afternoon sessions the field has been cut in half through attrition and the track is half empty Quote
