JeffC Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 You'll have to let us know how you get on Scott. There has got to be a catch, and it's something to do with the cost of bids. But can't obviously see it, So can someone explain Buying the most popular bid package means that your bids are costing you around 25-30p each. When you bid, you raise the auction price by 1p and reset the end of auction timer. Auctions can be either 1 minute, 45 seconds 30 seconds or 20 seconds... I think... So, based on an average bid price of 25p, and bid increments of 1p per bid, the Audi A3 they were selling that had reached just over 1200 quid means Madbid made 120,000 (bids at 1p) x 25p (cost per bid) = £30,000. So they made a little over 12 grand on the Audi. Like I say, I wish I'd though of it... licence to print money then I'm with you in wishing I had thought of it so how do you actually win then if the timer resets every time ? and could in theory u win something with a maiden bid and get a new car for £1200 edited to say just read the how it works page and that is mad as a box of frogs that is a game of chance! Matt Seabrook Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Its possible but I think you stand a better chance of winning the lottery than picking up a bargain on one of these sites. Quote
