Well I done it at last, passed SVA (2nd attempt) last Friday.

I have to say the SVA was not as bad an expeience as I had expected. Inspector was a friendly chappie, even made me a cup of tea. [shrewsbury]

Got reg number allocated by Worcester DVLA yesterday. Thought I was home and dry but....

All my local motor factors have stopped making plates due to the new paperwork and ID required, so I had to go to Halfrauds in town. Spent 45 mins with Junior number plate maker, assistant number plate maker and senior number plate maker convincing them I was who I said I was. Then they went off to make the plates...15 mins later they tell me it can't be done ! there are no 'Q's in the their kit !!!

Had to show them how to make a 'Q' from a 0 and part of a l.

But at last it's done & on the road in time for Stoneleigh.

Thanks to everyone in this forum who has helped with questions etc.
