which laptop processor is better,the intel i3 or the pentium dual core?

the first is in a acer aspire 5742-i3 the other is in the  ACER AS742Z

both have crappy 3.5hr battery life but areaprice i can just about afford 350-450mark. but moreimportantly have a keyboard that works.

Other things being equal the i3 will be the quicker, about 1/3rd better than the  P6100 in benchmarks. They use very similar cores, with the difference really being in how they are packaged to create the processor.

thanks,has any one got one of these acers? they are both the 5742 model just the i3 processor is 3gbram/320hd and the other one is 4gb ram/500 hd

i had a look at one today and they seem nice,a little big form my liking (i like the 15.1" screens) but i need a new laptopand these fit the bill

my onlyconcern was the keyboard looks a littleflimsy. has anyone got one or had one? imquite hard on stuff like thisso im intersted in any comentson it.
