Sorry you couldnt afford my box after buying and fettling my engine.

good news tonight is I spoke to my man, and he thinks he has a 4sp dog and he thinks it will be same first gear as the old 6 speed. so in effect you will end up exactly where you are now, but with 1 less gear to 1:1 ratio.

I wont know till sure till I get back from hols, but if I hear anything when I am away i'll text you.

If its second hand you will have to make sure its not of the old 6 face dog design of which Quaife no longer stock spares for. The 4 face design dogs have been current for 4 / 5 years now so beware gearboxes older than this

I have a 5 speed dog box if the 4 speed doesn't come off. Does this mean a windscreen for next year?

I agreed a deal on the engine and box from my race car, I knew it was a quaife, but on taking it out the car it turns out it was an all ali 4 speed rocket box, over 3k from quiafe I sold the engine, box, carbs and management for less than half that.....surprisingly the guy I sold it too was rather happy!!!
