I am hoping to use a 2l zetec on twin 45 carbs with dunnell sump, lightened flywheel, and option one power kit.  What are your views on this configuration and if you have tried it what results have you got.  Dunnell recon on about £1500 + the dreaded for 165bhp.

Thanks in advance.

Dave, do a search of all forums for this month and later with keyword of "Dunnell" and you should get pages of talk about this engine

basically it's sound and can be upgraded easily...for more money  :0  but have a look in case anyone has a horror story - I can't remember one but at my age that means nothing  :t-up:

I'm pleased with mine. i had his 3D ignition system 45's with throttle sensor, inlet and outlet manifolds and his lightened flywheel and clutch. 170 bhp according to readout. More than pleased, although I'm working on my beloved to get the his stage 3 kit

Matt, where did you get the exhaust and carbon silencer from on your blue car? It looks fantastic - is it quieter than the 5.5" westfield box? I have a Dunnell 2.0l zetec too, on lumenition t/b    bl**** noisy though!  :t-up:

It's black...........

Carbon cans from SBD. If you have carbs [edit: D'OH.......], you MUST line it with something (turbo blanket or somesuch), otherwise it'll burn up/explode............

It's a 6" silencer, a 7" one is also available. I would imagine it's a lot quieter than the one you have......

i had this system from dunnell when i first fitted my zetec after crossflow power.

I can highly recommend the kit ,and Paul is very knowlageble,i have learn't over the years that to ignore his advice will normally hit your pocket as he knows all the pitfalls.

I have now gone up to 225bhp and can say nothing other than WOW thanks Mr Dunnell.
