I really wouldnt go for a samsung, id look at either a toshiba or a pana. In my opinion as a television engineer would go for a toshiba brilliant operating system. Easy to use, ultra relliable and a great after sales service. As for what is the difference  between lcd and led there is a massive difference. Better blacks less grey bolder colours. I would if you are not wanting ultra thin would go for a full backlite led or if you are wanting ultra slim then a sidelite.

very good set plus its 200 hz so has the edge over the sl which to be honest still is a good set. Ive just done a home cinema room with the 3d Toshiba now that is a stuning tv and the best 3d i have seen by a long way. Give me a bell 07830298508 and i will talk you threw all the diffrent features because it all depends on what you want from a tv.
