Major Stare Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Three to choose from for me.... Tommo's Flymo at Curborough... first Westy i've ever cr*ped myself in. Del's with the VX and launch/traction control at the start line at Curborough. Rob's X-Flow... full credit for building a high powered x-flow to compete against newer 16v engines. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 first time I went to Croft to watch the speed series think would have been 2004 ish ? ? I remember getting exited over Smithys yellow Vauxhall powered car that looked quick and very well bolted together too dunno what had happened as this is the only but strange pic i have of it I dont think thats Smithy's car. His had blue wings The car that does it for me is Simon Thornley's 1900cc K series powered prelit Quote
lippydave Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Two spring to mind, a carboned-up Honda engined beastie observed in Mickmade's garage, and as a proper allround track and road Westie, local boy Luapno's very, very nicely spec'd yellow Durabang with full cage.... Quote

Mark Stanton Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 QUOTE Tommo's Flymo at Curborough... I was fortunate to see that car compete in British GT championship at Silverstone driven by Tony Lanfranchi ........ overtaking everything except McLaren F1 GT, with respect to Curborough and Tommo ...........that was an awesome sight Quote
cidersurfer Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Gee Fin's full carbon beast was pretty special... http://www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk/profiles/cars_wr1c.html Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Gee Fin's full carbon beast was pretty special... MickMade see above and then developed and developed and developed by Graeme Quote
oioi Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 better be quick Mike XI's are soon to be history do you really believe that? im sure if you wave enough money at westfield then they will make you one. its not like they are going to destroy the moulds now is it? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Wanna bet and fibreglass bodywork is no longer produced by WSC Ltd. its outsourced not a case of destroying moulds simply that they have a lifespan and once up they're gone Quote
Paul Edden Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I will put in my vote; Garry Bunn's Cossie powered black beauty - just love the sound that thing makes - and he is getting a little old for so much power now and maybe needs to be thinking about giving it to me Also - fair play - Carbon obsessed Mick can certainly screw an excellent car together. Finally - Ash Mason's XE powered silver beasty. It was this maniac who first introduced me to "upgradeitus" - the car may not have looked the prettiest thing out there (for the sake of a respray) but it was screwed together with NASA like attention to detail. Oh - and it b****y flew too! Quote
Terry Everall Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 The car was originally Smithy's and then Richard Carroll and the photo was when a suspension bolt failed at Farmhouse, Harewood hillclimb The yellow and black JC car was mine that I rebuilt completely ( it was stored in a heap at factory)and installed a 1548cc Busa which was ballistically quick and I won class F 2 years running with it. The car was W966RWP and was the original Westfield factory demo car. I think it is now in France Quote
Rob Navin Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Not sure its meant to have a winner to be honnest. But its got to be said it turning in to a Mickmade lovefest. He does build sweet cars though. Quote
Rob Navin Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Looking at Terry's car reminded me of the engines previous house. Tom's road car with the millington and sequential was just insane. Another quality Playschool production Quote
