Doe's anyone know if you can get away with putting a manual choke on the dashboard, or will the man from the ministry say 'no' ?.

I should imagine if you do want to put a manual choke on the dash it must go within that 'certain radius' of the steering wheel (i.e. no further out than the toggle switches).

Most of the cars I have seen have the choke mounted on the side chassis rail near the driver.
