CVH Oil Pressure Gauge Thread (in block)

Can someone kindly confirm what the thread is in the block on my 1.6 CVH where the oil pressure switch fits. I think it is 1/4" NPT but not certain.

I want to get a T piece to run the VDO oil pressure gauge and a suitable oil temp sender. The oil temp sender I have is meant to go in the sump plug (18mm X 1.5 ) but i'm not over happy about having the wiring that low and I don't think a T piece exists that has a 1/4" NPT M/F and 18mm F.

I can seem to find ol temp senders of either 1/4" or 1/8" NPT though but any ideas/suggestions appreciated.

thanks

Rob

Sorry, don't know....but, I would not see any issue having wiring that low....just make sure it's protected with some sleeving or heatshrink.....

Yep, it's 1/4" NPT x the oil pressure switch on my CVH 1.6.

I used a T-adapter from HERE to fit my oil pressure gauge sender and the original pressure switch.

You won't get an accurate oil temp from a tee piece fitting  - it needs to be in contact with moving oil not in a  dead leg .

Sump plug or a sep tapping into the sump is better

I have a 1/8npt sensor to fit my gauge and am welding a threaded plug into the side of the sump. Buy the sensor to suit you gauge range (150c in my case)

BTW check the thread diameter  ( Internet ) NPT can be confusing and it's easy to get the wrong  size
