Bob Green Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 Darling SteveD. I love music that has made a difference. I have played the drums in a couple of bands from all walks of life in the early ‘60’s but sadly are unheard off. I just think music is all. That’s how I feel. Now bring on Paper Lace!!!!!!!!!!!! My feelings are as I said in the back of the car. You are a man. Quote
pistonbroke Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Pure class. Thanks for the Heads up , setting the timer to record now Quote

Bob Green Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 In fact I will make a point about modelling myself about drummers. I used to think the likes of Buddy Rich, Sandy Nelson and Joe Morrelo were the stuff until I heard Stuart Copeland. He is the DB’s! SteveD…………….. It still hurts. You said it will be OK!!!!!!!!! Quote
Clementine Filth Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Oy you. you b*****d. Don't make my man hurt. Quote
SteveD Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 sorry clem but it made my ears bleed and also made me feel slightly nauseous ,rock on though wuv keep banging those drums bets .why do i have a vision in my head of that gorrila playin the drums to the phil collins song Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Pure class. Thanks for the Heads up , setting the timer to record now Damn! I saw that this was on and forgot to set the bl--dy PVR! I agree about the drummers, Bob, don't forget Gene Krupa. Joe Morello and his chums in Brubeck's quartet, especially Paul Desmond and his fantastic fluid sax, sealed my life-long love of jazz. Quote
Norman Verona Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Gene Kruper was the only drummer who could play a tune on the drums until I heard my friend Ray Cooper do it. Quote
V8grunt Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Sorry Lads, The thought of Cleo standing there going, "shooby dooby doo" makes me want to vomit! The only program with Jazz in it that I like is... The Fast Show! Nice! Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I went to our local theatre a couple of years ago and saw The Dutch Swing College Band supporting the Chris Barber Band. Both were well into their prime when I was at college and yet both were superb and brilliantly professional. Quote
