Found 4 rectangular soft plastic covers about 6cm x 2cm x 2cm.

Has anyone got any idea what they are for ?

Thanks

Steve,

I am not sure, haven't got my SVA kit yet, but could it be that these are for the bonnet catches ?? You might have the system with the bonnet locks, in that case you would not need then and can send them to me since I will use the bonnet catches :)

Bye,

Bertram

On behalf of Steve - Thanks.

As we don't have a windscreen we can safely forget them.

Cheers John.

Just in case take all the bits from the SVA kit that you havent used along to the test and a roll of black insulation tape, just in case Mr Hawk Eye! spots a sharp(ish)corner

It's probably wise to take your whole tool kit, foam, tape, anything else that isn't nailed to the garage wall.

Easier to fix any small problems there n then, than have to go back another day

be careful about using insulation tape. At leighton Buzzard they want everthing 'permanently'attached ie glued. Things held on with tape are a fail. Self adhesive cc foam seemed to be acceptable but only under dash padding. How do you cover bonnet catches 'permanently' when you have to open the bonnet for the test. I had to find some SVA proof catches (NF - Stapelhurst)

I used the soft plastic covers described in the first post in this thread.

I suppose they aren't that worried about you injuring pedestrians when you're bonnet's off

Yes Bob, it seems that is what they must be for because they certainly don't fit the side screen mounting points.

I love these little challenges, it's what makes building a kit car such an adventure!
