Dave Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 Come on Pete ditch that old VX and get some serious power
Dave Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 11 K or I'm going to build another westy Or I will think about splitting this engine drysump ecu Tb's etc Offers please
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 NO!! dont split it. It cost thousands to develop and just needs to find the right home. Terry was telling me all about it last weekend and it would be a shame to mess with it
Dave Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 are the tb's 48's? I think they are 50's It would be a shame John, the trouble is its just sitting there next to my 2ltr VX My escort is 1600 at the moment when I want to move up with the big boys in 2ltr the VX would be the better engine for rallying I dont want to split it but need to see some of my ££ back Dave
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 VX would be the better engine for rallying Whys that then? Certainly it would be heavier and have a less flat torque curve which I cant see being an advantage
Dave Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Its the 80 stage miles on 102 octane fuel that will be a bit costly This engine is ideal for sprints & hills It would go well in your car John
