How's about this for O/T then

As it says - Moss.

My (tarmac) drive is covered in the b****y stuff and every year I religously scrape it away, get the Karcher out and hey presto - no more Moss. :)

But it keeps coming back. :(

Anyone know of a good product, that does not need a license to buy, that will kill moss? ???   Sadly, my neighour who was licensed to buy really powerful stuff has moved to Cumberland - so now I am a bit stuck.  All suggestions gratefully received. :)

A neighbour swears by something he calls 'hypo'   hypo what I don't know , he reckons the farmers use it to clean the milking rooms out , his drive always looks clean

Best driver never to win the championship, a grand old man of motorsport, a legendary oap, someone who's recently suffered ill-health and you want to get rid of him...shame on you, especially in your business.

If he came and spread himself on my drive, I'd be honoured. I'd prefer him to come inside and have a cup of tea so we could chat (and I could park), but I would be honoured.

;)

:p

I suspect that Hypo is Sodium Hypochlorite, better known as bleach.  It is very effective, BUT it is illegal to introduce it into the environment, with big penalties.  Very few things are allowed these days so be careful.  Also Chloros as it is known ( a brand name that has become "the" name like Hoover for vacuum cleaners) Dissolves concrete quite nicely, another reason to be careful.

salt and white vinegar  ;)  ;)  ;)  :D  :D  :D  ;)  :D clears moss and weeds from pathways and drives  :D and at 5 euros for a 25kg bag of salt much cheaper than hypowotsit weedol  :D  :D  :D  :D

A couple of lines of the white stuff on your neigbhour's drive should encourage any Moss to migrate over. :p   :D
