Peter Cox Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 ...if it's the 6 sided fitment one (ie the boss looks like a big nut) then they have too much slack in them, IME. Re. the Zcars fit. IME, there's only about a single mm of play (and that's lateral, not rotational), which can only be felt if you look for it (i.e. it is neither apparent, nor detrimental, at speed...err...any speed ) Quote
pete williams Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Hi I am still confused about this quick release steering wheel adaptor, What is a slug? is it the end of the column? i have not heard of this expression before I do have an allegro type column fitted, and also i would like to extend the column by about 30-40mm,is this possible? cheers peter Quote
BobM Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Pete, The slug is the splined bit that needs welding to the end of your column. I had mine extended at the same time, you can see a pic of it here (click for bigger version): You do of course need to be confident it's welded on securely - mine's pinned as well. Quote
