It is not the cars fault and related to a change in circumstances (family and budgets)! Westfield SEIW FW – Unfinished Project - Specs - 2005 FW (featherweight) front and rear body – Blue in colour - Independent Rear Suspension - 2 litre Blacktop FORD Zetec - Brand new (0 kilometres) supplied by Raceline, includes Raceline wet sump, water rail and alternator. Standard ford zetec intake and Westfield supplied exhaust manifold. Remote oil filter. - OMEX 600 ECU and OMEX engine wiring loom and all required sensors - Westfield polished exhaust silencer with integral catalytic convertor - MT75 Gearbox - Westfield supplied propshaft - Ford Sierra rear differential - Westfield front and rear uprights with disc brakes allround - Gaz single adjustable shocks allround - Westfield supplied FW style fuel tank, sytec pump/filters and hoses - Odyssey battery - Westfield SVA steering wheel - New Cobra roadster seats in black and rails - All bodywork parts included - Standard rollbar, Windscreen wipers and heater assembly - All lights and indicators etc required - Westfield standard dash and all gauges/switches - bits and pieces I have missed (still in the boxes) What is missing and required to purchase: - Radiator hose - New wheels and tyres (old build wheels included) - Some time to finish What stage is it at: - All suspension, uprights diff and steering fitted - All brakes fitted and bled including handbrake - Fuel tank and all fuel system components fitted - Engine fitted and running, although no heat run yet as radiator/cooling pipework not fitted - Exhaust manifold and silencer fitted - Wiring loom and engine wiring loom all in place – just needs some final poking away/tidy up What is left to do: - Install radiator, purchase and install cooling hoses - Heat run engine - Poke away/tidy up wiring - Fit scuttle/dash, heater - Fit, fix rear body section, bonnet and cycle wings - Fit seats, seatbelts - Fit rollbar - Fit front indicators, headlamps Some photos can be found at - http://picasaweb.google.com/chris.kate.ben/20101005# Any questions please email chris.kate.ben@gmail.com £6850 ono ---SOLD--- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

XTR2Turbo Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 would it not make more sense to pay the factory to complete the build, IVA and register. It might cost £1500 but the car would then probably sell for £10k + so you would be net better off. Unfortunately DVLA / VOSA are so strict now on receipts and paperwork for amateur build and the IVA test and restest costs so great, I think an increasing risk for buyers to take on unfinished builds so the price takes a hammering.
