a4gom Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 QUOTE someones been spending lol your not wrong! QUOTE the pegs are adjusted to sit under the chasis so only the fysheel comes into contact with the rubber spinning wheel yup I appreciate thats the idea but wondered if there was a best position / way of doing it, I've never actually seen one up close before. I'll do some googling tomorrow I'm sure there will be some pics on there. Quote
Major Stare Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Loosen the pegs, sit the car on the starter box and lign up the fly wheel with your cars fly wheel. Make sure everything is straight, then move the pegs so they lock up against your chassis. Doing this ensures your car seats fully, in the correct orientation every time. On a new engine, turn the fly wheel to get to BTDC and then start the engine. Use after run oil after every outing and leave at BTDC. Quote
dombanks Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 any advice on settings for the Hyper's just PM me...... you might be a useful person to know, mine hasnt been started for god knows how long and im sure something is broken at the back end as it seems to sit very low so i would nt be supprised if i dont need a whole huch of new parts ii just cant really tell. it might even be worth just getting a new one as i dont know what condition the engine is in. it was running really well when it was last used but i would say that is atleast 3yrs ago. but it had a hard life so iw ouldnt be supprised if its just plain worn out. i remember snapping the conrod at one stage.
