Paul Edden Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Hi All, You should have received an email from me recently - but just in case, please note the following; Following an amount of feedback on our decision to make the dress code for the awards dinner formal (black tie), I have taken all your comments on board - particularly the comments that were against the wearing of black tie. Hence - the dress code will be amended. THE "PREFERRED" DRESS FOR THE 2010 AWARDS DINNER IS BLACK TIE - HOWEVER, SMART DRESS (AS WITH PREVIOUS EVENTS) IS ALSO FINE. (please remember - this means that jeans, tee shirts and trainers etc are not acceptable) The emphasis for the awards dinner is having fun and reflecting on a successful year - not what we are wearing. Look forward to seeing you all there Quote
Paul Edden Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 jeans n t shirt it is then Should have added; Marshall Rowland (Ninja trained - kills with his bare hands) is the official doorman checking dress code as you enter with special instructions to check out one Steven Davies in detail. Quote

Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 is the evening availble to non speed series members? cheers John Definatley John. Over the last couple of years we have been keeping the actual Awards part of the evening shorter to allow more time for socialising. We would like it to become the WSCC Dinner Dance, with the awards as part of it rather than the other way round. So please encourage as many from your Area to come as possible. If you can fill a table, then great, you will have more fun. Also to the Speed Series drivers who have not got a prize to collect, please come along, it's a great time to chat to other competitors about what you have done so far and which events you are thinking about doing in 2011 etc. The Hotel is excellent and a lot of people turn up at about lunchtime, go for a swin, sauna etc and enjoy the weekend, staying later on the sunday as well. Always good fun and an enjoyable do. Just treat it as another Speed Series event but one you don't have to drive fast at !! Quote
