RobC Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Someone in the office just reminded me of this just wondered if anyone else had any further news or could confirm that. These are going to become illegal from next year for road use... Quote
cast iron Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Theres a move by the greenies in the government to prevent manufacturers from producing road cars which have a tyre of a certain co eficcient of friction, i.e the sticky ones, as a measure to improve fuel economy and tyre life. Im not sure of the dates. Quote
RobC Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 that's what I'd heard but hadn't heard it confirmed... dissapointing... Quote
CedricTheBrave Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I thought the only legislation change was the intro of tyre monitoring devices on all production vehicles. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 The legislation does not come in til 2015 and even then there are 18 months for stocks to be used up so realistically 2017/2018 before you need to be concerned Quote
RedditchJay Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 cool... thats time to stock up then... Quote
CedricTheBrave Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 this should explain things, not sure they will be 'Banned' Link Quote
