Internal ducting for V8 nose cone. Cut-out for oil cooler. The duct appears to have been cracked at some point but has been nicely repaired.

Westfield price £200.51 which must surely be a missprint! This one is £45

Yes this was my old duct and it was not a crack, it is the mould line.

Hi, I take it these are a straightforward fit to the V8 nosecone?  :)

Bombero. It fitted mine before I replaced the rad with a rad that a lot of the V8 boys fit and I didnt need the duct.

Thanks highwayman, I've been thinking the same. It looks as if it fits to the V8 rad as opposed to the nosecone.

I simply prefer the styling (vanity   ) of the V8 nosecone and I'm wanting to fit one to my zetec engined westy, therefore don't think that the ducting is 100% required.

FW500 - Neil, thanks but I think I'll give this a miss and keep my £££s for the nosecone  :)

No probs - still for sale then.

But if you use a 'v8' nose you'll have the hole in the top with nothing to direct the hot air out of it.  That's what the ducting is for.

The 'ducted nose' (v8 nose) has been used on v8 cars but it's also been used on Zetec engines like in the SpeedSport model from a few years ago.  That model just used a normal VW Polo rad in the ducting.

I'm not 100% sure that the ducting is the same for v8 and non-v8 but I would be surprised if it wasn't.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick on this thread ?
