O/T - Domestic Hot Water Question

Wow, looks like combi have moved on a lot since I last had anything to do with them then. Personally I'd go with the Megaflo, I have unvented cylinders in the last two houses and the showers are fantastic. The only watch with with going unvented is how old is the rest of the plumbing in the house?

Your hot water system will be pressurised to ~3 bar with an unvented cylinder and if it has a weakness the presurised cylinder will find it.

I've got a shiny new megaflo equivalent. It was a grand more than a combi system but with 2 bath tubs and a family I thought it was worth a bit extra to be sure we'd never run out of pressure or flow.

Plus if [when] something breaks you only replace £500 worth of tank or £500 worth of boiler, rather than £1000 worth of combi.

My plumber says OSO are miles better than megaflo.

Megaflow without question for me.

Just changed from mega flow to combi mainly because I did a room in the loft for my daughter to use as a study/playstation room, and that was where the tank was.very happy with the Combi not quite as much power in the shower but nothing to quibble about. We have two bathrooms and have had no problems to date, just make sure you buy the biggest you can.
