I've done a search and could not come up with a conclusive answer.

Which lsd ratio should I go for 3.62 or 3.92.  1800 zetec on carbs MT75 box??

Any advice would be appreciated

An LSD is not a ratio, merely something that limits the slip! You need the crown wheel and pinion - the number of teeth on these 2 bits dictates your final drive ratio.

What size wheels?

What do you want to use the car for? Santa Pod 0 - 60s, general stuff or relaxed long distance cruising? etc

With a boggo MT75, you'll be wanting a 3.62, BUT, please do a search, 'cos the issue of diff ratios and which gearbox (and gearbox ratios) to use has been done to death. If you haven't bought the MT75 yet, then don't. Get a type 9.........

I want the car to be an all rounder mainly road use but hopefully a bit of track use/hill climbing if I can find the time.

Standard Type 9 and a XR4x4 3.62 diff with an LSD.

Will the type 9 fit into the chassis ok or will I have to modify the mountings.  How will this affect the mating with the engine, would it be the same parts as to mate to the MT75?

If it's mainly for road use then the MT75 will be fine with a 3.62 final drive. It's the standard fitting from the factory, so all the parts are available and your gear lever is in the right place. If you're serious about competition, get a type 9, coz all the ratios are available. It just so happens I have an MT75 for sale...............

If you haven't bought the MT75 yet, then don't.

Blatters I thought you were my mate!

Are we talking about cogs here? Big numbers mean lots of teeth don't they? :D  :durr:
