removing rear wishbones

Recommended Posts

Have recently bought a 1990SEiW.   :D  :D  :D

I'm looking to remove the (rusty) rear wishbones to get them re- powdercoated. Not a problem apart from the fact that I can't seem to be able to get anything on to the nut at the lower forward mounting to lock it in place :durr:  :arse:

Any help or suggestions gratefully recieved :sheep:  :sheep:

If yours is built like mine (and no two seem the same ;)), when you remove the seats, you'll find a rubber plug (about 2" diameter) near the floor / near the tunnel.  Removing it gives access to the front mount of the lower A-arm.  You'll also want that access for alignment as well as tightening when you reassemble.

Enjoy.  :xmas:
