carpetstu Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Mine spits and bangs with huge flames. It really annoys pedestrians and sets fire to anything to close to the curb edge.( i.e small terriers and cyclists) lol You have to love Westfield's for giving this extra little bit of driving fun don't you? Tigger Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 some just pop and produce a huge flame ....... even when just a normal carbed engine Harv, That looks like Batman's car .... except yours is probably faster Quote
Graham Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Another contributory factor and the first thing I’d check would be leaks in the exhaust, generally poorly sealed joints that allow air to be sucked. Air fuel and heat is all you need! Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 mine pops and bangs and I love it - always makes a car sound purposeful IMO no flames though - must mention this to the complaints department at NMS next time Quote
Perywinkle Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 The Manta pops like a goodun on the overun, I love it too Quote
markcoopers Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Troy engineried my pops and bangs out.....we had a brief conversation around this but as he slaped his forehead in disgust i thought it best not to ask for them back again. He did get me 191 ponies though so fair trade. Quote
adamnreeves Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Yeah mine was tuned at NMS and does not pop on overrun at all. I managed to change the tune for an experiment and managed to get them in but it really slows down the throttle response when you get back on the gas. I thought about installing a switch to switch maps for a brief time! ;-) Quote

I thought about installing a switch to switch maps for a brief time! ;-) I love the pop and snarl....left foot braking whilst on the throttle will probably cure most of it, if you're bored with it. ....but you are right, if you are on a trailing throttle it does tend to cough a bit to get back on song.
