Hi,

I've got an option of 2 lots of wheels I can buy at the moment.

1 set are 14 x 6 minilites, as good as new and the other are 13 x 7 minilites but they need to be blasted and painted/coated cos they're very very scruffy.

The 14s are £120, 13s are £100.

What difference will the sizes make to the handling of the car?

Should I be looking at 7" or 6" width rims?

Which do I go for?

Personally, unless they are coming with good tyres, I would leave both sets where they are.

14's are a tad heavier, and seem to be restricted with tyre choice/availabilty.

from this point of view, I would pick the 13's, but if they are as scruffy as you say then for a proper job you will be looking at 20+quid per wheel to get em up to spec.

By this point you have spent similar money if you buy brand new 13" rims, and then you can have the offset you want. (do a search on offsets...... :p    ??? )

Okay, my next question is where can I get some good 13" minilite style wheels, with the correct offset at a reasonable price?

Goorge Polly will do a set (4) of K+N Minator 13x6 with A032R tyres for £500. :D

Search under "George Polly Motrsport"

Or Bookatrack are doing some for GBP60 all in and can supply tyres too.

Speak to Jonny and see what sort of package he can come up with.
