My first 'Wetfield' experience

Hi all,

Well, just got back from my first real 'Wetfield' experience! Was happily having a cup of tea at my mates, when my other half noticed it was now raining quite heavily outside (it had been clear skies for most of the hour or two driving before that).

So, out we go to the car. Nice puddle gathered at the bottom of each seat, so instant wet A*** as we got in. Then, I'm sure some beggar came out and adjusted my belts while I was inside, as they were now just too small to close properly. Much fighting and cursing then ensued before I finally gave in and slackened the beggars off a bit.

Then had a 'nice' 30 minute drive home, trying to do my best not to touch the throttle!

Still, home now, cup of tea in hand and still smiling, so it can't be all bad!

Lessons learned:

1. Keep a couple of old towels in the boot box to dry the seats off.

2. Seat belts shrink when they're a bit wet.

3. Westfields are still fun when it's raining :)

You may also see the Westfield handshake whereby fellow drivers grasp each others right elbows  ;)  :)  :D  You can always tell the wet journey time by the amount of water soaked into clothing  :D  :D  ;)  :)  :D

I'm impressed - managing to drive a Westie in the rain and keep hold of a hot drink in the other hand...

:p
