lippydave Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 At risk of hi-jacking the thread....(Although it seems like an open and shut case... ), I wondered if I could ask for some advice on garage door remotes? My Mrs managed to lose her remote...(A couple of years ago!), and I'm left with only 1 remote. AFAIK its a 433mhz jobbie which is wireless licence exempt even tho they have now outlawed the use of the 433 frequency? Feel free to correct my assumptions BTW... It's a TX003 model with dipswitches inside. I was looking on ebay and found similar remotes, and just wondered Mr Lurksalot if you could cast yer beady eye over this ebay remote and tell me if it will do the job or recommend a better alternative please? Lurksalot Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 For replacement handsets I have normally blagged them of the manufacturer so don't swap them about but according to the guys details if your door fits these descriptions you have a chance Quantek RCS3 roller shutter remote control units, Cardale garage door operator Autoglide II, Steeline & Thermaglide roller doors fitted prior to May 1998, and some Rollexa and Nationwide garage doors. But if you have the model nos etc it might be worth asking the seller. you may need his prices seem reasonable . Most seem to come with programing instructions as long as the models are compatable. Absolutley , but do make make sure you check the sell by dates I would hate to think it had gone stale and the shop had shut Quote
