Caught by the fuzz...

Not me of course, but a colleague.

Had some journos over doing a comparison between an NSX and a 911 - before you ask, I'd have the NSX too.

Said colleague was driving a hatchback thing with a photographer in the back, with the two cars behind. Rozzers pulled him and gave the photographer a ticket for no seat belt and colleague a producer for having a passenger with no belt.

They checked on their computer that the car was taxed, tested and insured, so why the producer? Also, I've not had to do it, so is it likely he'll just produce and that's the end of it or will a fine follow? Seems surprising that he's liable for an adult passenger.

Bloomin journalists. :(

I thought the driver was only responsible for anyone under 14 wearing a seat belt.

Suprised they didn't do the snapper for more aswell... car to car photgraphy is very frowned upon by the law...

IME* (say no more) they can't make anything stick, and that'll be the end of it.

* Disclaimer: this is based on a sample of exactly one, and I have been known to be wrong.

That song always reminds me of driving my old mg midget, summers evening, roof down, e'd of my t**s giggling like a loon. Happy days. I miss the irresponsibility of youth ;(

Sounds like usual filth activity - nothing useful to do with their time in between doughnut breaks and filling in overtime slips - God forbid they got involved with catching criminals.........

Dont worry about the producer just go in and show them the doc's and that will be the end of it.

I got pulled a few years back after driving my sisters little siecento sporting for the first time, i had only driven 100m out of a car park,lol

The fact that 10% of that 100m the front wheels where squeeling like hell is not the point    :oops:

Personal view based on the fact that several members of my family are involved in Police and Ambulance Services;

Yes - it's a pain when plod pulls you for something apparently so trivial - BUT - I doubt (fortunately) any of us have had the pleasure of scraping body parts off the tarmac and placing them in plastics bags ready for I/D.  Every time I meet said family members - they have another tail to tell about non-belted passengers and the like.

Just putting another point of view :)

Also brings to mind a joke I heard at school many (many) years ago;

Ever been caught by the Fuzz?

No - but been swung round by the t*ts a few times.

Pause for laughter.
