GlynC Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Virtually Complete Megasquirt FI Kit for Pinto DIY Fuel Injection System Due to the recent sale of my beloved Westfield I have a nearly complete kit to convert a Ford Pinto (although could be used for other cars) to fuel injection and electronic ignition. The System is controlled by the MEGASQUIRT ECU and uses the Ford EDIS module which is included. To assist there are many resources on the web and I have also printed some of the install manuals which are included in the sale. Here we go the sale includes • MEGASQUIRT ECU V2.2 (professionally built by Bill Shurvington) • MEGASQUIRT Relay board to assist with the wiring (Again built by Bill Shurvington) Needs to be assembled to suit the application. • GSXR 750 Throttle Bodies adapted to fit the custom Pinto Manifold, but can easily be re-spaced. Second Butterflys removed and all holes filled with metal and resurfaced. This includes injectors and Throttle position sensor. • Custom manufactured Aluminium inlet manifold to fit the Pinto with the water take off pipe. With the lengths of Samco Hose and clips to link the throttle bodies (beautiful job see photo) • Chrome finish Motorbike filters for the bodies. • EDIS Module (two of these supplied) • 36-1 trigger wheel (which is attached to the crank pulley) and sensor • Inertia switch for the fuel pump • MEGASQURT Loom. Connector plug wired will obviously need connecting into the various parts of the circuit from then on. • Air temp sensor • Coolant sensor • Exhaust gas sensor • Injector wiring ( Will need trimming to fit application as you install) • Zetec Coil Pack • HT Leads for the above • Fuel pump with built in swirl pot I want £500 for the lot: Which is a fair bit less than this lot cost. Never been used as I sold the car and the chap buying didn’t want to get involved in modding the Westy. This will take a fair amount of work and patience but is virtually complete and only requires a fuel rail and minor parts to make it work (oh and a bit of know how!!). I never had the time to do it or use the car hence why she was sold this weekend Based near Ashby De La Zouch (De11) or can post at cost. I reckon it wouldn’t be over £15 to post in the UK . Will accept paypal Cash or Cheque (although nothing gets posted or handed over until it’s cleared) email glyn-clarke@o2.co.uk . Can take more pictures if required. Might Ebay it if it's not moved by Friday this week Cheers
markcoopers Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Glyn, Can i have 1st refusal as a local friend (and club member) has a Pinto and was thinking about EFI....perfect for him. I'll be back in about 20hours or less.
GlynC Posted July 19, 2010 Author Posted July 19, 2010 Hi mate Yes you can It's on the lowcost site too and has some interest But I'll wait to hear from you Cheers
adamnreeves Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 You might want to be careful with the wording "virtually complete", with a DIY ECU some may take this as the ECU is not completed. I know you mean this in the context of the kit, however I am struggling to work out what else is required, the engine maybe!
GlynC Posted July 19, 2010 Author Posted July 19, 2010 Thanks Adam I have pointed out this will need a fair amount of work to complete. Just needs the fuel rails and some pipes I guess! Oh and a degree in plumbing I am hoping people interested know these things don't work out of the box but then neither does a Westfield
markcoopers Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Sorry Glyn, It was Tony (housebeutician) but he has decided to wait, so best sell it to the Locost chaps. Cheers.
GlynC Posted July 20, 2010 Author Posted July 20, 2010 Thanks Mark It's all still available, open to reasonable offers before I resort to Ebay and offers to ship to Africa I guess!
