daughter has a 2005 1.6L Zafira and at 62,000 mile service garage said timing belt needed replacing

Service book talks about "toothed belt" change at 80,000 mlies

Anyone know what mileage it is correct

Terry, Vauxhall are renown for being overambitious with their published timing belt intervals and most dealers will advise to change them early.

They have a history of letting go before there 80K mile service so the advice you have received is probably good

Most Vauxhall cam belt issues are down to the tensioner pullies failing, too, so make sure the complete kit is changed, not just the belt.  :t-up:

would be more concerned the belt is 5 years old than the mileage it has done  , get it changed
